Tombow DT call submission post

Hello everybody, this is my post for applying to a spot on Tombow DT… wish me good luck!

This are my three project for the call:

LAYOUT “AWAY WE GO”

LAYOUT “#SELFIES IN VEGAS”

MINI ALBUM “DECEMBER DAILY”

   

I made a photographic step by step to make these projects.

 

  Layout “Away we go”

Cut rectangles of paper to layer the picture: adhere them as shown using Tombow Extreme adhesive

Adhere the picture using Tombow Extreme adhesive then start decorating: attach stickers and die cuts (for them you can use Tombow foam tabs to create dimension)

Adhere dew drops using Tombow Mono Glue pen 

 

 

Layout “#Selfies in Vegas”

Hand tier diagonally a piece of paper and adhere it to the background paper as shown using Tombow Extreme adhesive.

Distress with scissors the edges of a 6” square piece of paper and glue it down as shown using Tombow Extreme adhesive.

Add the picture.

In the lower right corner adhere a die cut piece. 

Cover the chipboard with gesso. Once dried, glue it down using Tombow Mono aqua liquid glue. Add alpha stickers.

Adhere peel off stickers to a white cardstock and fussy cut them. Attach them using use Tombow foam tabs to create dimension.

Add dew drops and sequins. 

  Mini album “December Daily”

The album cover is a piece of cardboard measuring 8” x 6”. Trace its measures in a patterned paper of your choice, cut it and adhere it. Repeat this for all the 4 faces of the covers.

Create holes in the covers with Crop- a-Dile and add eyelets. Add album open/close rings.

  To create inside pages, use double sided patterned papers or glue together one side patterned papers: to create movement on your album I suggest to use different sizes of pages, some bigger, some smaller. Here there are some examples. You need to make at least 31 pages, since it is an album documenting the whole month of December.

Now it’s time to decorate the pages: you can attach stickers, wood veneers, sequins, chipboard, flowers… You need to number the pages from 1 to 31. Some of the pages will contain only decorations. You can see some of my pages here to have an idea:

         

Put all the pages inside album rings. Now decorate the rings with ribbons:

 

Your December Daily is ready to keep all your memories!
