BEAD SOUP BLOG PARTY REVEAL DAY

Today is the Bead Soup Blog Party reveal day, so I show you what I made with the beautiful components that my partner Erika sent to me.

At the very first sight I thought “these beads are quite opposite from what I usually use to make jewels”: it was in fact a color explosion, with orange too, that I don’t love so much. . . My jewels are in fact usually tone sur tone, or in one or 2 colors, only few times a try something more colorful. . .

But the hostess Lori Anderson explained several times that “the purpose of this swap is to stretch imaginations, incorporate beads from your current stash, and, in getting someone else's beads, work with things you may never have thought to use before”.

So I observed very well my Bead Soup, and. . .the beautiful lampwork handmade by Erika reminded me a colorful caterpillar and this necklace, “CATERPILLAR”,  took life. . .

P1050650

P1050648

P1050649

The caterpillar lays in a garden with butterflies, flowers and leaves and the colorful glass bead handmade by Erika make the final touch: a perfect mix for the next spring Smile

I wanted to prepare something more, but the package come from The Netherland only 2 days ago. . .

I hope you enjoyed taking a look, and please visit the other Bead Soup Partiers! You will find the entire list of 200 partecipants from any corner of the world here.

I take the chance to thank Erika and Lori, it was really a great experience that I hope to repeat Smile

Also, you asked me a question about the metal stamps that I used in my designs. The small stamp I used that looks a little like a star or flower is called an asterisk stamp. You can trying searching on Etsy. Also, try fusionbeads.com or beaducation.com. Hope that helps! :)
